Wizard Siege doesn't collect any personal information. There are no accounts, ads, analytics or tracking, and the game never connects to the internet or sends anything to me.
Wizard Siege is a game for iPhone made by David Norman. This page explains what the game keeps on your device, and what it shares with other players' devices when you play a Wi-Fi battle.
What stays on your device
- your story progress: your chapter, where you are, what's in your bag, the chests and doors you've opened, and the boons you've earned
- your settings: music and effects volume, text size, and the battle settings you last chose
These are kept only on your device and are never sent to me. They're included in your device's own backups, like other app data. Deleting the game deletes them.
Wi-Fi battles
Wizard Siege goes on the network only when you open Wi-Fi battle. Then it asks for permission to use your local network, finds games by sending small messages to the other devices on your Wi-Fi network, and connects straight to the one you join. It stops looking when you leave the Wi-Fi battle screen.
The devices in a game share only game information: the game's settings, each wizard's moves and spells, and the state of the battle. Every game is listed as Morwen's game, after the host's wizard, never by your name or your device's name. Like any devices on a network, they know each other's local network addresses, and the host's is shown on its screen. Nothing leaves your Wi-Fi network, and none of it comes to me.
Tilting your device
On the home screen, the picture shifts as you tilt your device. Wizard Siege reads the motion sensor for that only in the moment. It's never stored or sent anywhere.
What Wizard Siege doesn't do
- It has no accounts or sign-ups, and never asks your name.
- It shows no ads and has nothing to buy.
- It has no analytics, tracking or third-party code.
- It doesn't use your location, camera, microphone, contacts or photos.
- It never connects to the internet.
- It doesn't share or sell any information about you.
Information from Apple
If you've chosen to share analytics with app developers in your device's settings, Apple may send me anonymous crash reports and usage statistics. Apple also shows me overall download numbers. None of this identifies you, and Apple's privacy policy covers it.
Children
Wizard Siege collects no personal information from anyone, including children.
