Privacy policy
Last updated October 4, 2026
Squarical doesn't collect any personal information. There are no accounts, ads, analytics or tracking, and the game never sends anything to me.
Squarical is a game for iPhone and iPad made by David Norman. This page explains what the game keeps on your device and what it shares with Apple's Game Center.
What stays on your device
Squarical saves a few things so the game is the way you left it:
- your settings: sound, music and effects volume, haptics, swipe style and app icon
- your best scores
- your progress toward achievements, such as how many coins you've collected
These are kept only on your device and are never sent to me. They're included in your device's own backups, like other app data. Deleting the game deletes them.
Game Center
If you're signed in to Game Center on your device, Squarical sends your best score to its leaderboard and your achievement progress to Game Center. Other players can see your Game Center name and score on the leaderboard. If you aren't signed in, nothing is sent. You can sign out at any time in Settings, under Game Center.
Game Center is run by Apple, and Apple's privacy policy covers how it handles that information. Squarical doesn't read or keep your Game Center name or any other details of your account.
Turning your device
Turning your device is part of the game, so Squarical checks which way you're holding it while you play. That's used only in the moment. It's never stored or sent anywhere.
What Squarical doesn't do
- It has no accounts or sign-ups of its own.
- It shows no ads and has nothing to buy.
- It has no analytics, tracking or third-party code.
- It doesn't use your location, camera, microphone, contacts or photos.
- It doesn't share or sell any information about you.
Information from Apple
If you've chosen to share analytics with app developers in your device's settings, Apple may send me anonymous crash reports and usage statistics. Apple also shows me overall download numbers. None of this identifies you, and Apple's privacy policy covers it.
Links in the credits
The credits screen links to people's profiles on X. Those links open outside the game, and X's own privacy policy applies there.
Children
Squarical is made for players of all ages. Because it collects no personal information from anyone, it collects none from children.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, I'll update this page and the date at the top.
